New roof.

So came the day when our house got a new roof! Finally! The old roof seems to have been rather old for this area.. According to the neighbor across the street and also the guy that inspected the house for us, it could very well have been over 30 years old. If only the roof we just put on, would last that long:-)


This then is a "before" picture.

And "after". The guys on the roof are just finishing up. This is the south side of the house, the side that took the most beating of the old roof. The sheets of plywood and the "stack" needed to be replaced.

The new roof tiles are being delivered.

All new tiles are up on the roof here.

But first they stripped all the old ones off.

I am so glad to have it done. Thursday next week we are going to get new insurance now that the roof is new. That will lower our cost!
