Ok, So our house has one major drawback for the cats, at this point. All our windows upstairs are covered with styrofoam so we wont freeze, until our new windows arrive.
But that means that our dear cats have no nice windows to sun themselves in.. Or do they?
We do have the basement windows uncovered. And two of them are south facing. And Shimmer can apparently jump very high....
Today I came home after working and a short stop at the pharmacy to pick up Sophia's meds. And there is dirt on our floor.. You know.. The kind from a flower pot. But.. We don't really have any flower pots.. ( I am not really very good with plants..)
So where did the dirt come from? Well.. In our two south facing windows downstairs.. That is where I thought it would be a good idea to put my little "green houses" for my tomato plants.
I thought that almost 6 feet, would be safe from cats. But.. Not from Shimmer.. How did she get up there? She must have managed to jump, and knocked my plants over. The majority of my poor plants are dead now. Without my help.
Monster cat!
I can not WAIT for our windows to come. So I can keep plants safe from jumping cats..
And so we can enjoy natural sunlight indoors.
On Wednesday a lady is coming out to measure our attic insulation to give us an estimate on how much it would be to insulate up there. It might be a fall project, but the measuring is free with no obligation to buy, so..
Also.. Must look into filing an amendment to our taxes for the energy rebate. $1500 for installing energy efficient windows. That could be the new bathroom;-)
Tomorrow is the meeting with Dr Bausch and Alisa and me.. Yuck, but has to be done.
Till next time.
