That is the challenge our relief society wants us to take. Starting next Sunday (as the study guide booklets were not quite ready yet) the Presidency wants us to read the Book of Mormon in 80 days as a combined effort to draw us closer to Christ.
How wonderful it will be, when as a sisterhood we all read the Book, and ponder the words.
The Study Guide they will give us, has certain scriptures to ponder on, either as a help for us to understand the word, or maybe to use as a short family devotional.
The lesson today was about prayer, and our teacher asked us to pray more often during the day, and to try to give at least one prayer a day to only thanksgiving, where nothing is asked from God.
She suggested these times to pray:
Morning (personal)
Morning couple/family
Breakfast blessing on food
lunch blessing in food
Dinner/supper blessing on food
Evening couple/family
Evening (personal)
Something to think about.
I received an e-mail from a friend, and she asked me to have her cat euthanized. This is the cat, that I was called to help almost a year ago, which finally convinced me to pursue my interest in veterinary medicine.
I would be so honoured to be there as Tiger leaves to go home. His former owner, died shortly after I had helped him the first few times. I am sure she misses him, and will be glad to have him again.
Till next time.
