That is one of the questions on my mind right now;-)
I'll get to that in a minute, but first a look at the health issues in our family. Sophia has since Friday of last week had a flare-up. I want to record the sequence of events for future reference. So far this is how it happened.
Friday she got a very pronounced and bright red butterfly rash on her face. It covered her cheeks, her nose, her forehead. She felt warm. But claimed to feel good.
Saturday she attended Young Marines, no problems. In fact she enjoyed it a lot! She still had a little red cheeks, but not very noticeable.
Sunday, she felt good still. But said her joints hurt a little more than 'normal'.
Monday, she was tired, her joints hurt but she felt good. She went to school. At 12:30 or so, she again had a very pronounced butterfly rash, was very tired, nauseous and loss of appetite. She laid down in the nurses office until she called home at around 1. Rich had the day off, so he picked her up. She was lethargic the rest of the day/evening.
Tuesday she was still not well, but had no red cheeks.
Today, she went to the Doctor for a check up for Young marines. She felt good. Also got two vaccines, but I don't think they did anything to her flare-up.. She went to school, but soon called to get picked up, again with a very red butterfly rash on her face.. She was in bed, lethargic the rest of the day.
We called Dr Hollister today, waiting for a 'call-back'.
Monday we took Amanda and Jonathan for blood draws. Amanda stressed out so much she cried for an hour after. She had to give urine also, but was too stressed to do it at the lab, we took it home and did it here at home instead.
Yesterday we found out that Jacob is aiming for a career in crime..
No, not really of course, but he did try to commit check fraud... He stole a check from us, filled it out to the best of his ability and dropped it off to his teacher to pay for school pictures..
Now.. He filled it out in pencil, not pen. He filled out the amount ($40) in numbers in the correct box, but did not write the amount in letters. He did not fill out the recipient, under 'memos' he had written the name of his school. The check was not signed.
The teacher saw that it was his handwriting, so she contacted us.
So, how to deal with an issue like this? We asked Jacob what he thought we should do... Some of his suggestions are going to happen, like no TV or computer time, and extra chores. But we also contacted the School and he will do some community service at the school.
In a way I can laugh at it now, but it is also very frustrating. I mean.. Had he been older and the sum larger, it could indeed land him in prison. How to get him to understand that?
Now, I am going to bed. Good Night.
