Mothers Day

So it is Mothers Day again!

And this year, it is clear that my kids are big! Without ANY adult help, they made me breakfast in bed.

Woke both me and Rich up when they came down. They did keep their promise to me. I had them promise last night not to wake me at 6 am. They usually do.. I just wanted to sleep in a little. At 7 am they came down with my breakfast and gifts. Handmade. The boys gave me sun catchers they had made in Scouts.

Amanda gave me a jar with cookie mix. And Sophia gave me a card with a poem and 'coupons' for free hugs, free massage and free quiet time.

No gift from Rich, as I had requested. We are spending enough on our little vacation in two weeks.

Speaking of...


I got a letter yesterday. From USCIS. Yes, already.

The date for my swearing in is now set. For May 21. And the whole family gets to go, since that is the day we are going to Estes Park for vacation.

I am excited!

This week end i also planted the garden. Hopefully we will have:

green beans
Green peas
spring beans
cucumbers
carrots
radishes
spinach
lettuce
basil
cilantro
dill
onions
catnip

and inside we still have the plants for tomatoes and bell pepper. But I want to be sure all the frost nights are over before I get them out there.
