Pictures and update.

We have had som happenings lately and I am adding some pictures of the kids.

Jacob had the opportunity to take Commander Hoard to the Young Marines Birthday Ball, as he is the chaplain.  So he had to be there.. And Commander Hoard had no date for the evening, so she offered to take him.
So here he is. Ready to go.
With the corsage to give to his 'date'
Jacob and Commander Hoard.
Amanda has a new hair color It suits her very well.
Our kids also had the wonderful opportunity to fly. Literally fly. With the Young eagles. That is a federal program here that promotes young children to get into aviation as it also allows for the pilots to get their mandatory flying hours in. To keep their licenses current. So the flying is free for the kids. All they have to do is to show up, be between 8 and 18 and it is first come, first serve... So some waiting,, But it is worth it!! Here is Jacob on his first flight! Can you see the excitement??

Jonathan. He didn't like it as much as the other three.. He may not be the one dying to come next time.. I think he got a little scared.
It is hard to see Amanda here, but she is thrilled. She was happy at first, because the plane is green. Her favorite coolor. But the flight itself was even better than the color of the plane, I think. Lets se..

Yes I think, she is one happy girl!!

Flying is about as great as life gets!!

Young marines is not so bad, is it???

Sophia also had a turn of course.
And loved it!!
We got our first snow storm right before Halloween this year. Not a lot of snow, but it got cold and icy.
Amanda was happy to have her new winter coat.
Pikes Peak is so beautiful covered in white.
Amanda again. She is embarrassed, but we are so proud!! She stood up to a bully in school. A bully that was attacking a friend and then turned on her.  So the Young Marines recognized her courage and rewarded her with a ribbon for Personal Achievement and here she is posing with Commander Hoard and Mr Torres.
For Halloween this year, the Atlas children got to wear costumes to school. Amanda is a cute witch and the boys chose to wear their YM uniforms. It makes me proud that they chose this, as it means they understand the purpose of it!!
