Are Mormons Christians?

Many times have I heard from others, that I am not a Christian. Because I am Mormon. How can that be? How has it come to that? That other people feel that it is their job to decide what I believe in..'

When I was 14, I heard the word 'Mormon' for the first time. I asked my Grandmother what a Mormon is, and she told me that it is a strange religion. They do not drink tea or coffee. I knew then, that one day I would be a member of that religion. And I am forever grateful for hearing about the Church.

It took another year before I attended a church meeting for the first time, and another three years, before I had permission to get baptized. What glorious day. There are few days that are ingrained in my memory as that day is.
